The Miami Heat and a potential trade scenario finally arrive at an agreement to sign DeMar DeRozan.
This season, the Miami Heat are once again punching above their weight, which is exactly what everyone expected. They had a difficult offseason, losing both Gabe Vincent and Max Strus and failing to acquire either Jrue Holiday or Damian Lillard in the trade market. Despite their 7-14 record, Miami needs a major talent infusion to compete with the best teams in the East.
With Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic, teams from all over the NBA are keeping an eye on the Chicago Bulls, who are sure to have a huge season. Due to their contracts, the Bulls are finding it difficult to move these players; with DeMar’s contract expiring at the end of the current campaign and Lavine and Vucevic’s long-term deals regarded as bad deals, the Bulls will must use their imagination to maximize the trade value. We might be able to accomplish that.
Teams will not be lining up for LaVine; instead, they will probably try to use him as a second or third offensive option. DeRozan is in the same boat as LaVine, but he is also unable to space the floor. Still, the duo has the ability to turn the Heat into favorites.
Though the Bulls won’t give up on their stars easily, will anyone be willing to pay more than one pick for each of these players? Very unlikely, particularly with DeMar DeRozan’s contract expiring and his reputation as a poor shooter. Obtaining one pick for the stars would be a wise decision, and adding another pick to try and seize the lead in any Zach LaVine offers could turn it into two wise decisions. The ideal trade would be to combine these two stars into a single deal that sends promising young players to Chicago.
The Bulls get some really strong pieces to fast-track their rebuild. Tyler Herro looks like one of the best young guards in
