Leeds United have come out of the deal with Bournemouth for Tyler Adams much better off, with the USMNT midfielder picking up another injury setback recently.
The summer window was dominated at Elland Road by the outgoings that were simply out of the club’s control, some more professional than others in their efforts to leave.
Bournemouth proved to be the destination for two of Leeds’ outbound stars, Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams, and the manner in which they secured their South Coast transfers left a foul taste in the mouth.
A £23million permanent exit, Adams was Leeds’ only major sale in terms of money coming in, and it was then revealed that he was threatening legal action in order to get his wish of returning to the Premier League.
CEO Angus Kinnear shared that the midfielder is not going to be on the club’s Christmas card list following his antics in the summer window, and that sentiment rang true with the club’s parting statement, mustering up 18 words to confirm the news with no well wishes.
Since then, he’s gone through more of his rehabilitation following hamstring surgery that ended his season at Leeds back in March, making his debut for the Cherries in their EFL Cup win over Stoke City.
