DEAL COMPLETE :Leeds United move smart to completes a deal of an offensive midfielder in the January transfer window,

Leeds United  make a move and sign an attacking midfielder in the January transfer window, according to a report by LeedsLive.

The Yorkshire-based news outlet reported on Monday (16 October) that due to the lack of an out-and-out number 10, Daniel Farke may look to bring someone in.

Thus far, Joel Piroe has played in that role and has been in incredible form for the Whites this season.

Needed?

Signing a number 10 should not be the priority for Leeds this season if they don’t have somebody who’s a specialist in that role.

Piroe is doing a better job than most thought he would there as it seemed he was signed initially to play as a striker.

However, Georginio Rutter has led the line with aplomb and the Dutchman has played as the shadow striker and contributed with goals as well.

What Leeds need is another left-back as Sam Byram cannot be relied on for the rest of the season and Junior Firpo is injured.

Even when fit, it remains to be seen what sort of a player returns to the fray for the Whites as his performances have been inconsistent.

That money can be spent on bringing in a first-team left-back as it will help get them back to the Premier League or at least boost their chances.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that big European clubs have been keeping tabs on a Whites player for a while and are still willing to sign him.
