BBC NEWS: Leicester City finally agreed to a one-year deal with an Italian club that contained a €15 million buyout option.

The club is in talks with Leicester City ‘for a few weeks’ – The Foxes are negotiating hard.

Victor Kristiansen may have only recently left Leicester City for a loan spell at Bologna, but the Serie A club appears eager to renegotiate those terms.

When deciding to let the fullback join the Italian club, the Foxes accepted a one-year contract with a €15 million buyout option.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Bologna are already looking for a deal with the Foxes.

The Serie A club is claimed to have been working ‘for a few weeks’ to reduce the fee, although knowing their chances are slim.
According to the report, Bologna’s best chance would be if Leicester City does not regain promotion to the Premier League for next season, since another year in the Championship would put them in a position where they would be more ready to grant that discount.

It appears that the Italian club is attempting to negotiate a lesser price at this point, especially given the inability of the Foxes to predict their condition next summer.

That attempt simply goes to show how well Kristansen has fared in his five games for Bologna.
