Liverpool are ready to activate a LaLiga ace’s release clause and will push ahead with a contract agreement worth just £83,000-a-week, per reports.

Alexis Mac Allister has been delivered for just £35m, though two further midfield additions are wanted. To that end, the players currently in Liverpool’s sights are Ryan Gravenberch, Manu Kone, Khephren Thuram, Romeo Lavia and Gabri Veiga.
Of the quintet, Celta Vigo’s Veiga, 21, is arguably the easiest to sign given the presence of a €40m (approx. £34.4m) release clause. According to Spanish outlet AS, Liverpool fully intend to trigger it.
it’s revealed Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea are all willing to activate the clause.
However, Newcastle’s attention is appearing to lay elsewhere, with a Sandro Tonali agreement reached and James Maddison – who plays in Veiga’s position – a more pressing matter than Veiga.
As such, the race could come down to Liverpool and Chelsea and per Italian publication Corriere del Mezzogiorno (as cited by the Paisley Gates), both clubs are ready to table matching contract offers.
Proposals worth €5m per season (roughly £83,000-a-week) are being lined up. That would represent a gigantic pay rise for Veiga who Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg tweeted “will leave Celta Vigo this summer”.
Indeed, Veiga is understood to be the lowest earner at Celta right now, trousering a mere £3,000-a-week given he remains on the first professional contract he signed with the club.
