Liverpool are hopeful of securing the signing of a big-name Real Madrid star after seeing a first bid fall short, Chelsea are looking to land two new attackers as part of a new-look front three, while Thursday’s Transfer Gossip claims Aston Villa are nearing two impressive signings.
REAL MADRID INFORM LIVERPOOL OF FEDERICO VALVERDE PRICE
Liverpool have seen their first offer for Federico Valverde waved away by Real Madrid – but they do have hope that a deal can be done with Real Madrid willing to sell the Uruguayan.
The Merseysiders are looking to rebuild their midfield after a largely-forgettable 2022/23 season. Finishing fifth and without a trophy to their name, plans are now taking shape to ensure the Reds bounce back.
Indeed, they have already moved quickly to secure the signing of Alexis Mac Allister for an initial £35m.
However, much more is to come at Anfield with the club seemingly looking to land at least two more. And if Klopp has anything to do with it, his next signing could be one of Liverpool’s most-costly yet.
To that end, reports on Wednesday claimed the Merseysiders had launched an opening bid for Valverde.
Now, according to reports in Spain, that opening offer was worth £51m (€60m); a bid swiftly rejected by Real Madrid.
However, on the day the Spanish giants confirmed the signing of Liverpool target Jude Bellingham, it seems they are open to the exit of the 24-year-old.
And it’s reported that Real would be willing to accept the sale of the 49-times capped star – but only if their €100m (£85.5m) asking price is met.
