Liverpool has already made changes to its squad this summer but Jordan Henderson and Fabinho may force Jürgen Klopp into further action, with Roméo Lavia admired.
It could be quite the few days for Liverpool. With a midfield ravamp having already begun, the changeover in personnel could be about to escalate thanks to strong transfer interest from Saudi Arabia.
Club captain Jordan Henderson and holding midfielder Fabinho, signed from AS Monaco for $50m (£38m/€45m) in 2018, are both in demand. Henderson has been at Anfield for 12 years and has been offered a salary of $915k (£700k/€820k) per week, the Daily Mail reports. Fabinho could net Liverpool marginally more than he cost when he arrived.
If either of those deals were realistic for Liverpool, that would completely transform Jürgen Klopp’s midfield. Perhaps others who were looked at this summer before Mac Allister and Szoboszlai arrived could return to the table, with Khéphren Thuram, who is valued at just $45m (£34m/€40m) according to L’Equipe, one that would seem sensible to revisit.
It has even been suggested by Belgian journalist Sacha Tovalieri on Twitter today that Thiago could join Barcelona, though losing him this summer in addition to both Henderson and Fabinho is surely unthinkable.
