JUST NOW:Liverpool finally made decision’to replace Mohamed Salah

Liverpool return to Premier League action this afternoon when they take on Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

However, all the talk heading into the game is about transfers. Jurgen Klopp has overseen a summer of change at Liverpool, with £106.25million spent on new midfielders Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, with half of that outlay recouped by the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia.

But now it is all about one man: Mohamed Salah. The forward has emerged as a target for Al-Ittihad, with reports emerging from Saudi Arabia throughout the week of an imminent bid for the 31-year-old.

Liverpool insist they won’t sell the forward before this Friday’s deadline; however, that hasn’t stopped the speculation around Salah’s future from continuing. And with that in mind, we have rounded up the latest rumours about Egypt international and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, a report on Riyadiya TV has claimed that Mohamed Salah will play his final match for Liverpool this afternoon against Newcastle United. The report goes on to claim that the forward will then head to Dubai to undergo a medical in preparation for a move to Al-Ittihad.
