Despite bringing in Christopher Nkunku, Angelo Gabriel, Diego Moreira and Nicolas Jackson this summer, Chelsea continue to look for new attackers to bolster Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
The current crop are largely young and inexperienced with the new coach calling for some more senior players to be added. Although it’s the midfield that is looking the most threadbare just two weeks out from the start of the season, forwards are also being looked at.
Moises Caicedo at this stage but there is a strong shortlist of names when it comes to right-wing options. Chelsea currently only have Noni Madueke as a specialist player in this position and he has missed all of pre-season so far with injury. It’s not a serious issue but it is one that has meant Ian Maatsen and Raheem Sterling have been deployed out of position in America.
