Liverpool have promised to give Federico Chiesa a raise if he joins them this summer.
Chiesa has become a surprise target for the Reds as they plan to improve their attacking line.
And while they are said to be assessing a bid for the Juventus man, Sport Mediaset claim they have now been in contact with his agent.
The Italian outlet report that Liverpool have already made ‘first contact’ with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani.
Speaking to Ramadani, the Reds have reportedly given the 25-year-old a ‘guarantee’ that they will offer him a salary that Juventus simply cannot afford.
While Liverpool are making promises to Chiesa, West Ham and Newcastle are also said to be interested in signing him.
However, the Italy international is said to be uninterested in a move to either club.
A transfer would have brought the Reds back between £43m and £51m. It is claimed that while it wouldn’t fill Juve’s coffers like the possible sale of Dusan Vlahovic, it would still be important for Juve.
Liverpool make a promise to Chiesa .
According to Salary Sport, Chiesa earns 54,000 a week at Juventus.
If that’s really the case, Liverpool could easily raise their wages. If he joined the Reds, however, he wouldn’t do so as an immediate starter.
Jurgen Klopp has plenty of other top-flight forwards and the Euro 2020 winner will have to prove himself. Therefore, he shouldn’t expect a salary comparable to players like Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and certainly not Mohamed Salah.

However, Liverpool could certainly make a worthwhile move without breaking the bank. In terms of the transfer fee, it doesn’t even look like a deal breaker for the Reds. A new striker is certainly not their priority this summer, but for a potentially good player like Chiesa they could make an exception.
It’s true that he hasn’t been in the best shape of him lately. But he is still a player described as ‘very special’ not long ago by the legendary Gigi Buffon [Gazzetta dello Sport].
He is someone worth having on the team. There’s been a lot of talk about this over the past few days, let’s see if there’s anything to it.
