The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Liverpool are at the front of the queue for the £154,000-a-week (SalarySport) 26-year-old and are leading the race.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have added that Barella is open to a move to the Premier League and would be delighted with a switch if a club are willing to double his salary.
