Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea have all reportedly made ‘real attempts’ to sign Real Madrid star Federico Valverde this summer.
The 24-year-old has emerged as one of Real Madrid’s best players over the past couple of seasons. He has made over 200 appearances for the Spanish giants since 2018.
The midfielder was key as Real Madrid won the Champions League last year and he scored 12 goals across all competitions during the 2022/23 campaign.
Liverpool are known to be in the market for two or three midfielders this summer. They have already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and they are being heavily linked with Nice’s Khephren Thuram.
Earlier this month, it was claimed that the Premier League giants have made an ‘offer’ to Real Madrid in an attempt to sign Valverde.
Now TEAMtalk are reporting that Liverpool and their two Premier League rivals have ‘all made real attempts to try and land Real Madrid star Valverde this summer’
The three English sides have ‘made enquiries with Madrid and representatives close to the player’ but ‘the message was clear’. The player is ‘not looking to move’ and his club are ‘not looking to sell’.
Valverde recently openly insisted that he is not looking to leave Real Madrid in the near future.
“No, no, no, I’m at Real Madrid, trying to enjoy every moment and to continue leaving my mark on this team, which is the best in the world,” Valverde said.
“I want to keep winning titles for the fans.”

While Liverpool’s priority is to sign new midfielders, they are also looking to add to their squad in defensive areas.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen to recruit a young centre-back who can compete with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.
But the head coach may also try to sign a new right-back if Trent Alexander-Arnold completes a full-term transition into a midfielder.
Man City’s Kyle Walker is being linked with an exit this summer and Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich are showing interest in the England international.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Liverpool have also taken interest in Walker, but a move is considered unlikely at this stage.
