Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has written on Twitter (2:13pm, June 12, 2023) that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City want to sign Celta de Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga in the summer transfer window.
Real Madrid and Napoli are also claimed to be interested in the 21-year-old Spain Under-21 central midfielder.
Galetti has added that Liverpool are now ready to make a concentre move for Veiga, adding that the youngster has a release clause of €40 million £34.5 million) in his contract.
The journalist wrote: “Understand that #Liverpool are set to make a concrete move for Gabri #Veiga.
“The MF has a release clause (€40m) in the contract with #CeltaVigo.

So, this suggests that the Merseyside club are more determined than City to secure the services of the Celta star.
It is very simple for Liverpool.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners need to pay the release clause in Veiga’s contract and offer him a salary that he would not be able to refuse.
