- There is only one player who is worth signing from Arne Slot’s Feyenoord for Liverpool but there is a major obstacle.
Ever since Arne Slot has become the likely candidate to succeed Jurgen Klopp, pretty much most of his Feyenoord players have been linked with Liverpool.
From Hancko to Mats Wiefer and Lutsharel Geertruida. But the reality is while those players are talented, and could be good squad options for Liverpool, there is only one player worth signing from the club, who has massive potential.
That player is almost impossible to get for Liverpool though, because he is already contracted to another Premier League club.
Why Yankuba Minteh is the only player worth signing from Feyenoord
The player I am talking about is Yankuba Minteh. Only 19-years-old, and already a senior Gambian international, Minteh is very highly rated.
He is exactly the type of attacker who Liverpool often target. Minteh is explosive, and he is very good in one vs one situations.
He has a brilliant left foot and is able to find himself in goal-scoring opportunities as well, but he can create for his teammates, too.

This season he has registered 16 goal contributions for Feyenoord, as he settled into the team. Recently, he’s been in red hot form under Slot making nine goal contributions in his last nine games.
On paper, he’d be the perfect Liverpool target. But the problem is that he’s already contracted to Newcastle United and is on loan from the Premier League outfit.
Why Minteh is still a player to watch for Liverpool
Mohamed Salah may be staying at Anfield for the considerable future. However, given he will be 32-years-old, he won’t be around forever.
Sooner or later, Liverpool will need to find an heir to his throne, and Minteh profiles really well in comparison to Salah.
He pretty much ticks all the boxes and if he continues his development even the fact that he is contracted to Newcastle United should not be an obstacle for Michael Edwards and co.
The fact that he would already have experience playing under Slot, would just be the icing on the cake for Liverpool if they do pursue him in the future.
