Liverpool officially make €200 million offer for Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid have already made one marquee signing this summer in the form of Jude Bellingham. Fans are hoping that they make another blockbuster move though. With the departure of Karim Benzema, not only have Los Blancos lost their most reliable source of goals for the past five seasons but the face of the club as well. It will not be easy to replace him.

One player capable of taking Benzema’s place in the team is Kylian Mbappe, arguably the best player in the world. And he could be on the move this summer.

Real Madrid are believed to be Mbappe’s most likely destination, if he does leave PSG. But there have been plenty of twists and turns in this long-running saga already, and another one could be coming.

As reported by Express, Edu Aguirre told El Chiringuito TV:

“Liverpool have made an offer for Mbappe for €200m.”

It has emerged recently that Mbappe does not want to extend his contract with PSG, which runs until the summer of 2024. That has left PSG in a very difficult situation

PSG appear to have made their stance clear as well. They want Mbappe to either sign a contract extension or be on the move this summer, so that the Ligue 1 champions do not have to see him walk out as a free agent a year later and miss out on a huge transfer fee.

Real Madrid are believed to be keeping a close eye on the entire situation. For years, it has been believed that Mbappe dreams of wearing the Royal White jersey some day. Liverpool appear to have other plans though.

Many unexpected things have happened in the Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer saga over the years. And could the Frenchman surprise world football by joining Liverpool this summer? Only time shall tell but nothing should be considered impossible
