to reports, Liverpool’s sponsors are willing to help the Premier League giants win the race tAccording o sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
Mbappe has made it clear that he does not intend to extend his PSG contract so he looks set to leave the club at some point over the next year with his current deal due to expire in 2024.
The forward’s relationship with PSG has been fractured for a couple of years but it is now arguably beyond repair so he is being linked with a move elsewhere ahead of next season.
The World Cup winner was pursued by Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal earlier this summer but he has reportedly turned down a move to the Middle East.
Real Madrid are leading the race to sign him but they are likely to wait until next summer so they can get him on a free transfer. In the meantime, Mbappe is being linked with a loan move to the Premier League.
He has reportedly ‘refused’ a permanent move to Chelsea but he has indicated to the Premier League club that he would be willing to join them on loan.
Liverpool have been sporadically linked with Mbappe in recent years and it has recently been suggested that they are also looking to sign him on loan.

Football Insider are now reporting that ‘Mbappe is a huge admirer of Liverpool and would rather join them on what would be a sensational season-long loan than his many other suitors around the world’. The report adds.
‘Liverpool have been touted as a potential destination for the France sensation, who nearly joined them as a 15-year-old before instead opting to sign for Monaco.
‘The French giants would be keen to discuss a loan with an obligation to buy him before next summer, but Liverpool do not have the financial resources to afford Mbappe on a permanent deal.
‘A loan would not be impossible, as it is believed that sponsors would contribute to the vast salary commanded by the World Cup hat-trick hero.
‘However, anything beyond that is out of the question for the Merseysiders despite the affection Mbappe and his mother, who is his main agent, have for Liverpool. Both are believed to be big admirers of the club and the team’s entertaining and watchable playing style under Klopp.’
Football Insider have at least been self-aware enough to admit that there is ‘little chance’ of this transfer being completed and this is probably the only truthful part of the article.
It is also indicated that PSG ‘believe Mbappe has already agreed’ to join Real Madrid when he becomes a free agent next year.
