Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have reignited their interest in Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

It is unclear at this stage if a deal for the 31-year-old will materialise.

Salah’s agent had dismissed reports in early August linking the Egypt international with a move to the Saudi Arabian club.

His representative, Ramy Abbas, wrote on August 7 following speculation: “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.

Salah signed a new three-year contract last summer, which made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history on around £350,000 per week.

Liverpool have already lost two experienced players to Saudi Arabia this summer. Former captain Jordan Henderson moved to Al Ettifaq for £12million ($15.2m), before Fabinho completed a £40m switch to Al Ittihad.

Al Ittihad have also signed Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante so far this summer.

Salah, who scored 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season, was recently promoted to the club’s leadership group by Jurgen Klopp.

He has recorded a goal and an assist in his opening two matches of the 2023-24 Premier League season.
