Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James announces he could be signing with a different team.

Although the 39-year-old is anticipated to continue playing, LeBron James “may opt OUT of his $51.4 million contract with Los Angeles Lakers during offseason.”
James has often expressed his desire to work with his son Bronny James.
Following his college career, Bronny James is eligible to enter the 2024 NBA Draft. DailyMail.com has the most recent information on international sports.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers might be joining a new team next season, as reported by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

With a player option remaining on his contract for the upcoming season, James can decide to enter free agency or accept the final year of his contract.

“I’m not sure what will happen with LeBron in 2025,” Windhurst stated in a segment.

“I think LeBron will play next season, but I’m not sure if it will be with the Lakers or not—he has an opt-out.”

James will have until June 29 to decide how to use his $51.4 million option after the season ends.

The 39-year-old signed a contract extension in 2022 that would have allowed him to play for the Lakers through at least the 2024–2025 season. However, league insiders conjectured that James included the option in the contract from the outset, long before the extension was finalized, so he could have chosen to leave the Lakers and team up with his oldest son, LeBron “Bronny” James Jr.
