Luton Town – Third Signing Gets The Thumbs Up From Hatters Support

Don’t you just love it when the Hatters announce a new signing, especially now we’re a top-flight team.

I cannot express just how much joy it gives to me to keep typing Premier League whilst editing this site.

Yesterday, the Hatters hierarchy announced that, for an ‘undisclosed’ fee, Luton Town had signed Tahith Chong, from Birmingham City, after the player had undergone a medical earlier this week.

Following in the footsteps ofen Chedozie Ogbe and Mads Andersen, Chong becomes the third signing of this summer transfer window.

Naturally, social media has been alive since reports of that medical being undertaken, on Wednesday, and the signing appears to have struck the right chord with the majority of the Hatters support, with several recalling how he more than played his part when we were demolished by a Birmingham City side not too long ago:

Well, it appears he likes playing at Kenilworth Road!

There’s no arguing that when it comes to recent achievements, the 27-May-2023 takes a lot of beating.

In less than a decade, the Hatters managed to climb from the abyss of non-league football to reach the promised land of the Premier League.

I still can’t believe, to this day, all six of our penalty takers, in front of a crowd of 85,711, had the testicular fortitude to score.

That day, those who started and indeed those who came on as substitutes became Luton legends.

But although the romantics among us want to see as many of those as possible start our first ever season in the Premier League, it is not going to happen.

Out of the XI, we’ve already said farwell to Horvath and it remains doubtful that Drameh and Nakamba will return to Kenilworth Road, either on loan or as permanent signings.
