Mateusz Musialowski, a winger, is the subject of negotiations between Liverpool and two other clubs.

Liverpool are in talks with 2 clubs over a deal for winger Mateusz Musialowski

Liverpool could launch Polish winger Mateusz Musialowski this summer, at least on loan, with a report saying there were talks with two clubs.

Musialowski has turned heads so far during his three years at Liverpool but has struggled to translate that into breakthrough.

The 19-year-old winger arrived from SMS Lodz in 2020 and has scored 130 goals in 80 youth games for the Polish club. His dazzling skill has attracted attention in the academy.

He has trained with Jurgen Klopp’s first team several times, but never regularly, and his only appearance came in the 3-0 friendly defeat against Strasbourg last summer.

Last season also saw him in and out of the under-21 line-up, starting just 13 of his 22 appearances and scoring three times. It would come as no surprise if Musialowski, whose contract expires in 2024, leaves this summer with the Polish outlet claiming he can return to his native country.

Their sources claim talks are starting with two Ekstraklasa clubs, one being Gornik Zabrze, the other being either Widzew Lodz or LKS Lodz.

Although there are rumors that the deal could be on loan, Musialowski is likely to agree to a contract extension before leaving.

This would allow Liverpool to protect their value to then sell in the future, as is usually the case with players in their final year in office.

Musialowski was touted with a return to Poland last summer, with Rakow Czestochowa and Śląsk Wrocław considered clubs at the time.

It’s unclear why one move fell through, although it may have been due to other moves as fellow strikers Max Woltman, Fidel O’Rourke, Jack Bearne and James Balagizi found themselves on loan. Musialowski was dogged by the nickname ‘Polish Messi’ during his move to Liverpool and it no doubt raised expectations.
