Kylian Mbappe is reportedly willing to join Liverpool this summer, but only on a one-year deal. Paris Saint-Germain are desperate to offload the forward and entertaining talks with numerous outfits to try and strike a deal in the region of £215million.
After going public with his decision not to extend his stay at PSG, tempers have flared at the Parc des Princes. Mbappe has continued to insist that he will run down his contract at the club and lead the line for his side next season, whereas the higher powers at the Ligue 1 outfit have reiterated that he will be sold.
Fears of an agreement with Real Madrid for next season are growing, and PSG are desperate to put an end to the sage by facilitating an exit. Liverpool are among the numerous outfits linked with the France international and are expected to table an offer for his services imminently.
However, according to Sport, an agreement may not be reached between Liverpool and Mbappe due to contract length. The forward is willing to head to Stamford Bridge on a one-year deal and would like the freedom to explore options at the end of next season, but that does not suit Liverpool.

A loan option has also been mentioned in negotiations, though that would not suit either the clubs as the Blues would be left empty-handed next summer and PSG will wave goodbye to the player as a free agent.
Liverpool are said to have ‘promised’ to make a bid for Mbappe if they can strike a deal with the player over the terms of a deal, though it remains to be seen whether that is possible of PSG’s worst fears come true and all approaches fall on deaf ears until 2024.
