MEDICAL BOOT: Bristol City star undergoes Valenciennes medical today

Former Bristol City defender Taylor Moore is closing in on a move to French side Valenciennes, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old is understood to be in advanced talks with the Ligue Two club, and he is set

Moore became a free agent earlier this summer after his contract at Bristol City expired in June.

Moore has spent the past seven years with the Robins after joining the club for a £1.5million fee in 2016.

However, he has only made 60 appearances during his time with Bristol, with most of his time spent out on loan.

Moore has experienced loan stints at Bury, Cheltenham Town, Southend United, Blackpool, Hearts and Shrewsbury Town.

The defender played over 4,000 minutes for Shrewsbury in 2022/23, helping the club to a 12th-placed finish in League One.

While Moore played most games at centre-back, he showed his versatility by also stepping into midfield during the 2022/23 campaign.

Moore is now set to end his stay in England and return to France seven years after leaving the nation.

He previously played for French side Lens after graduating from their youth team in 2015.

Moore made 17 appearances for Lens B and 10 appearances for the senior side before he completed his move to Bristol in 2016.

Moore has also represented England on the international stage after making six appearances for the Three Lions’ Under-20’s side in 2016.
