Leeds United agreed consider offers for Illan Meslier in January, sources have told Football Insider.

Leeds feel they have adequate cover between the sticks despite Meslier starting every Championship game so far this season.
Sources told Football Insider on Friday (15 September) that Karl Darlow was signed from Newcastle to be the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The Whites anticipated an exit for Meslier – who has been coveted by Europe’s top clubs in the past.
Darlow is experienced at Championship level, and spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Hull City, keeping five clean sheets in 12 outings for the Tigers.
He also racked up 100 total appearances during his time with Newcastle, with 52 of those outings coming in the Premier League.
Meslier remains under contract at Leeds until June 2026.
He was a regular starter as they were relegated from the Premier League in the 2022-23 campaign.
The 23-year-old managed only clean sheets in 38 games across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign and was dropped by stand-in boss Sam Allardyce for the final four games of the season.
He conceded 73 goals in those appearances and Leeds were the leakiest team in the Premier Leagu
