Paul Merson has brutally mocked Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk while giving his verdict on Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund after watching him against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this past weekend.
The Sky Sports pundit has said that he has not seen play Mykhailo Mudryk well for Chelsea since his appearance against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool last season.
Mudryk impressed for Chelsea on his debut against Liverpool back in January 2023.
The Ukraine international winger joined Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The £100,000-a-week (The Independent) winger made his debut for the Blues against the Reds when he came on as a substitute in the 55th minute.
The Premier League match between Liverpool and Chelsea ended in a goalless draw.
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson does not think that Mudryk has done anything of note since then.
Merson made the comments about the 22-year-old while reflecting on Rasmus Hojlund’s performance for Manchester United against Arsenal this past weekend.
The young forward came on as a substitute in the Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium.
And his performance was encouraging.

Merson told Sky Sports: “Rasmus Hojlund looked good – a right handful. But that was for 20 minutes.
“I saw Mykhailo Mudryk for 20 minutes at Liverpool in January and I haven’t seen him since.”

We do agree with Paul Merson about Mykhailo Mudryk.
The Chelsea winger has failed to make a huge impact at Chelsea so far.
The winger has made 18 appearances in the Premier League for the Blues.
The Ukrainian youngster has not scored a single goal and has given onlytwo assists in those games.
That is not very good.
However, we should not forget that Mudryk is only 22.
And he moved to Chelsea in the middle of a season in which the team were struggling and had managerial changes.
Under former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino, Mudryk could improve and get better.
After all, Mudryk is a very young player who is still developing.
