Miami heat Kyle Lowry officially announces his contract with the 76ers with his buyout from the Hornets.

As has been expected, Lowry is negotiating a buyout from the Charlotte Hornets, and once he clears waivers, he will sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. As Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN covered the story, Lowry and his representatives officially announced it.

his season, Lowry averaged 8.2 points and four assists per game for Miami (he’s still an expert at drawing fouls), but he was no longer in Erik Spoelstra’s starting lineup. As part of the Terry Rozier trade, Lowry was traded to the Hornets, and it was anticipated that he would be bought out and sign with Philadelphia.

He joins Cameron as an experienced backup for Tyrese Maxey with the Sixers.
