ESPN reports that MLB has suspended pitchers Yohan Ramirez and Genesis Cabrera of the New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays for three games each. While Cabrera was punished for specific acts taken prior to the Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays’ benches clearing on Saturday, Ramirez was suspended for purposefully throwing at Rhys Hoskins, the first baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers. According to ESPN, Ramirez’s throwing behind Hoskins also resulted in a one-game penalty for Mets manager Carlos Mendoza.
