Barcelona have traditionally been a club that seeks young talents to nurture and provides bright prospects with an established platform.
Over the years, the club has pursued the signatures of several top talents, such as Pedri, Ronald Araujo, and Pablo Torre. The Catalan giants officially confirmed the signing of 18-year-old Mikayil Faye from NK Kustosija Zagreb this summer as well.

However, it appears that another starlet attracting attention from Europe’s top clubs is on Barca’s radar.
According to bold.dk, Denmark’s Patrick Dorgu is a player the Blaugrana have shown interest in.
The 18-year-old Danish left-back, a mainstay for Lecce’s youth team, was crucial to his side’s victory in the Primavera 1 youth league last year.
Dorgu scored four goals from 38 matches in the season gone by, and his outstanding performances have led some of the top clubs in the world to eye his situation.
Dorgu’s agent, Kingsley Ogbodo, told the aforementioned outlet about the interest he is amassing and what the player desires.
“Liverpool want him. Liverpool have been watching him and interested in him for some time, but if he goes there he will have to play in the U23 team. It’s not the best for him, so I advise him not to do it. They can offer him a lot of money, but that’s not what we’re looking for right now. We focus on his career, development, and playing time,” Ogbodo said.
Manchester City was also mentioned as one of the teams in the race as Ogbodo said:
“Liverpool is of course not the only club that wants him. There are many clubs here in England who are keeping an eye on him. Manchester City kept an eye on him when he played against England for the U19 national team in Hobro in Denmark.
Finally, bringing up Barcelona, the agent mentioned the magnitude of Dorgu’s talent by linking him to the Catalan giants
“Lecce’s scout has also told me that Barcelona is also keeping an eye on Patrick, because he is a huge talent.” the agent said.
With regard to how the player intends to manage his future, Ogbodo talked about how the Dane is not eager to jump the gun and refuses to make a premature decision.
“We would like him to stay in Lecce a little longer. Two more seasons so he can mature and gain experience. So when he moves on to a bigger club in a few seasons, we will know at that time that he is ready for it.” he shared.
With a measly market value of €400,000, Barça will likely continue to keep tabs on the player. However, with him not keen on leaving Lecce right now, a move seems unlikely.
