Leeds United target Glen Kamara will finalise his exit from Rangers next week.
That is according to The Fourth Official, who report Kamara is now finally close to moving on from Ibrox, though the destination of his next club remains unclear.
It was reported by the same outlet last month that Leeds and Rangers were close to striking an agreement over a permanent transfer for Kamara.
However, since then, it has not materialised as expected with Leeds having been extremely quiet in the window over the last few weeks.
Leeds target Kamara expected to seal move next week
Leeds will require at least two new central midfielders between now and the end of the window, with Tyler Adams having departed for Bournemouth.
With some funds having been freed up, Leeds could now look to get a deal done for Kamara, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting earlier this week that interest had returned.
That said, when asked about the potential of Kamara joining Leeds earlier this week, Rangers manager Michael Beale suggested Elland Road would not be his destination.
Next week looks as though it will finally provide a resolution to Leeds’ pursuit of Kamara one way or another, however.
He is set to be available for around £5 million due to a release clause which is active in his contract.
