Bayern Munich initiate pursuit for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as Inter get closer in securing Yann Sommer.
According to a report by Filippo Conticello of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Yann Sommer has communicated to Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel that he wants to join Inter as soon as possible before leaving for their Japan pre-season tour.
The Nerazzurri and the Bavarians both are on a tour to Japan and that should make matters easier with the negotiations as both parties will be able to exchange documents without delay.
Bayern have internally said to the 34-year-old goalkeeper that he will be sold and that is why they have made certain advancements for Brentford’s David Raya in the last few hours. The Spaniard hasn’t renewed with the Premier League side, indicating that he wants a new club in the future.
Inter now waiting to see if Sommer’s present club lowers the release clause or if they will have to pay the full €6 million.
