Dan Plumley has insisted that Rangers need to invest in the January transfer window under Philippe Clement to protect future revenue and success.
Chris Jack has already reported that the Ibrox board will do all they can to release funds for more new signings in the winter window, which is two months away.
The finance expert admitted that will come with clear risks, but it has to be the strategy at play to drive the club on after a poor start to the season.
“The slow start they didn’t want, you are then playing catch up and with the Champions League disappointment, a new manager, a new wave optimism, they know where they need to get back to in terms of this season, and the short term objectives.
That doesn’t come without its risks, but it has to be a strategy Rangers are looking at given, as I say, their standing in Scottish football and where they want to drive the club on.
