News Report: Juventus score incredible no-look own goal as they are humbled by Serie A minnows…..

Juventus defender Federico Gatti scored the most embarrassing of own goals as the Old Lady were humbled by Sassuolo in Serie A Saturday

Juventus were beaten 4-2 by Sassuolo in Serie A with defender Federico Gatti scoring the most embarrassing own goal to compounded Juve’s miserable evening.

The Old Lady suffered their first defeat of the season on a Saturday evening to forget. Juve fell behind after 12 minutes before they drew level after Matias Vina put through his own net for the host. But a Domenico Berardi goal minutes before half-time saw Massimiliano Allegri’s side head into the break a goal down.

Federico Cheisa scored Juventus’ second equaliser of the game in the 78th minute but the Old Lady where unable to hold on again, conceding in the 82nd minute when Andrea Pinamonti put Sassuolo back in front for the third time in the game.

And Juventus’ torrid afternoon was rounded off after Gatti played a blind back pass towards his own goal, believing former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to be in front of his goal and ready to receive the pass.

But to make Gatti’s pass inexcusable, was that Szczesny had played the pass to the defender from the other side of the pitch in an attempt to get Juve on the front foot with two minutes of added time left. Gatti hurriedly played the ball backwards under pressure but his team-mates were left perplexed and furious as they could only stand and watch as the ball trickled into the open goal, dashing any hope of a comeback.
