Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as the Reds join Barcelona and Everton in taking an interest in a Brazilian wonderkid
Nottingham Forest and Barcelona are among the clubs interested in Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Moscardo, according to a report.
Forest have been recruiting Brazilian players heavily since promotion to the Premier League, with quartet Danilo, Felipe, Andrey Santos and Murillo currently in the Reds’ first team squad. Midfielder Gustavo Scarpa, meanwhile, is on loan at Olympiacos.
There could yet be another Brazilian player through the door at the City Ground, according to Brazilian outlet IG Esporte. That’s because the Reds, along with Barcelona and Everton, are said to be interested in Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.
The 17-year-old has attracted the attention of clubs in Europe, who can now sign players from Brazil much more easily because of post-Brexit work permit rules. Said rules mean players from outside of the UK cannot sign for English clubs until they are 18, but that will not be a problem for Moscardo, who will celebrate his birthday next week (September 28).
