News Report: Nottingham Forest striker made amid to overcome struggles after deadline day transfer…..

Nottingham Forest striker Hwang Ui-jo has been backed to overcome some early struggles with loan club Norwich City.

The 31-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the Reds since putting pen to paper more than 12 months ago. He spent last term at fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned club Olympiacos and FC Seoul, then joined the Canaries on transfer deadline day this summer.

Hwang has found it tough to make an impact for the Championship outfit so far. He has featured four times since his switch, with Wednesday night’s 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham marking only his second start.

An international break soon after he linked up with David Wagner’s team didn’t help matters as he has had little training time with his new teammates. And while the Norwich boss admits the forward is taking time to adapt, he is convinced he will soon come good.

“The understanding for our defensive shape he has. Offensively, he is maybe the one where I can say he is not, and he can’t be, on the same mindset like the other players in terms of how we like to attack.

“Every training, every game, every minute will help him to get a better understanding, and obviously a lot of video work in place as well,” Wagner, who is currently short of forward options due to injuries, added. “He’s desperate to improve and to learn. He is now with us only for two weeks, less training and a lot of game time, obviously everything has to go quicker for him than we thought.”
