News Report: Rangers penalty vs St Mirren and red card explained as VAR audio released…..

Uncategorized

VAR audio has been released which shines a light on why Rangers were awarded a penalty against St Mirren a couple of weeks ago.

With Steven Davis in charge of his second game, first in the league, as caretaker following the sacking of Michael Beale, Gers went to Paisley on the back of a poor defeat to Aris Limassol in the Europa League. They managed a 3-0 win but had a helping hand when Ryan Strain was sent off for a handball, with the Light Blues also scoring from the penalty which was awarded.

James Tavernier was the scorer of that and went on to add to his tally with a screamer from distance, with Abdallah Sima also getting on the scoresheet. Sky Sports will tomorrow put out some behind the scenes VAR footage to show how it has all been operating in the past year.
