News Report: Rangers quartet included in WhoScored’s SPFL Team of the Week after 4-0 win v Hibernian, Abdallah Sima bags highest rating…

Philippe Clement’s reign as Rangers manager got off to a perfect start with a comfortable Scottish Premiership 4-0 victory over Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday 21 October.

Two stunning Abdallah Sima finishes either side of a fine strike from Nicolas Raskin and a late Cyriel Dessers strike sent the Gers on their way to an impressive first win under their new boss.

And WhoScored announced on Monday (23 October) their Scottish Premier League team of the week with Michael Beale signing Sima deservedly handed the “Highest” rating for his stunning individual performance with 9.8/10, registering his eighth and ninth goals of the season.

James Tavernier, Raskin and Dessers were all also picked alongside Sima for the Team of the Week after their impressive performance

Sima has had a hugely positive start to his career at Ibrox, despite flying under the radar somewhat until recently.

The Brighton loanee has been a consistent source of goals for Rangers and his tally of nine so far this season ranks him as the club’s top scorer so far, meaning he is certainly now Clement’s go-to man in attack.

While the likes of Dessers, Sam Lammers and Danilo have grabbed the headlines for their lack of goals since their summer moves, everyone’s forgotten about Sima but Beale certainly got one decision right before his sacking.

For Sima, it’s a case of how long can he keep up his goalscoring form. If he can continue his average of a goal per game over his last seven, he could be the inspiration Rangers need to start to put the pressure on again.
