Rangers have sent a message to Ianis Hagi on the platform formerly known as Twitter despite the fact the playmaker is on loan at Alaves.
Wishing the now 25-year-old a Happy Birthday on the controversial platform, the entire thing has raised a few eyebrows in the Rangers support.
As the injuries mounted under the stewardship of Michael Beale, the decision to let Ianis Hagi move on loan looks more strange than sending him a message on Twitter when he’s no longer at the club.
There was a moment in the season where Rangers could’ve used the creative tendencies of the Romanian international and the entire thing doesn’t really benefit anyone in Glasgow.
After a public appeal for more minutes as Ianis Hagi looks to recover from a devastating cruciate ligament injury, Michael Beale sent the £3m ex-KRC Genk star on loan to Alaves.
Since then Ianis Hagi has set about getting minutes in La Liga and so far, despite the Spanish side’s toils, it’s been a largely fruitful spell for a talented player starved of time on the park.

As the minutes have racked up, so has Ianis Hagi’s confidence and Rangers fans are beginning to wonder why the club let the playmaker leave on loan in the summer.
