News Report: Wolves v Man City injury update as four ruled out and three doubts…..

Wolves and Man City hope to recover from their Carabao Cup exits as the two clash at Molineux in their Premier League clash.

Both teams were knocked out of the League Cup to Ipswich Town and Newcastle United respectively, and now resume their league campaigns where they are likely to revert back to their strongest teams.

Gary O’Neil and Pep Guardiola are both impacted by injuries and suspensions, and so there’s a lot to get through. The big talking point will be whether Matheus Nunes faces his former club after a £53m move to the league champions.

With all that in mind, here’s the latest injury and team news ahead of Wolves v Man City

Jean-Ricner Bellegare is suspended after being sent off against Luton Town. Gary O’Neil had no complaints about the decision and revealed that the £12.8m sining apologised to him and his teammates.

Tommy Doyle is to miss out as he will be ineligible to face his parent club. Man City did not permit Doyle to play against them when he was playing for Sheffield United and the two sides met in the FA Cup semi-final, and so it is unlikely they would allow him to play in a league match.

The 21-year-old has so far made two substitute appearances against Liverpool and Luton Town respectively, whilst he made his first start against Ipswich Town on Tuesday night. He will have to watch from the stands however as his loan and parent club go head-to-head.

In the injury department, Wolves have been okay and the only player that comes under any question is Joe Hodge. He suffered a hamstring problem against Blackpool almost a month ago but was an unused substitute at Portman Road on Tuesday night. Wolves could have been taking a cautious approach with the midfielder or preferred different personnel.

Out: Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Tommy Doyle. Doubt: Joe Hodge

The Citizens are without Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring) following an injury against Burnley in their opening Premier League fixture. He’s got a ‘serious injury’ and he will be out for a few months at least, but despite his absence they have been able to maintain their good form.
