Middlesbrough, who play in the Championship, are now keen on signing Nottingham Forest captain Joe Worrall in January.
The Reds player replaced Luton for 20 minutes, but since then, he has made no appearances.
Worrall was on the field when Forest gave up a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with the Hatters on that occasion.
Elijah Adebayo’s second goal was his fault, and he hasn’t been seen since.
Middlesbrough wants Worrall.
Worrall’s circumstances are a little peculiar overall. The defender might be leaving as soon as he signs a new long-term contract.
The Sun claims that Boro wants to buy Worrall outright through a loan, and they may act when the window reopens.
