One Nottingham Forest player is attracting interest from West Ham and was the subject of interest from Chelsea in January.
The Reds are likely going to be busy this summer with more emphasis placed on streamlining the squad.
Forest have had two busy summer transfer windows since they returned to the Premier League but might be more savvy this time around.
Nuno Espirito Santo knows that players will need to be sold but he will also want the competitive nature of the squad to remain.
Now, it’s been claimed that one player is attracting interest from West Ham ahead of the summer transfer window.
West Ham wants Taiwo Awoniyi.
Even if there have been changes in the West Ham dugout, it seems the team is still interested in Awoniyi.
The London Stadium is home to Julen Lopetegui, who was once connected to Forest, and it appears the team is interested in the Reds’ lucky charm.
Daniel Taylor, the award-winning journalist who supports the Forest, has been talking about the player’s future in a Q&A session with The Athletic this afternoon.
“Awoniyi is another player drawing interest from possible buyers,” he stated. But I know Forest would like to keep him.
During the January transfer window, Chelsea made an attempt to sign him. Not to mention enthusiastic, West Ham still like David Moyes.
“The amount of games he has lost due to injury has reduced his worth. However, we’ve seen what he’s capable of when healthy.
Behind the scenes, there’s also a little sympathy for him. He had to be looked for in between games the previous season after recovering quickly from surgery.
At moments, the man seemed to be playing despite his suffering. It came to an end.
