Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly about to meet their quest to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid.
The Athletic are reporting this afternoon that Real Madrid defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has “no interest in leaving” the Spanish club and moving to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Liverpool are among a number of clubs who are interested in signing Tchouameni from Madrid this summer.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni stance on potential Liverpool transfer
Liverpool are about to miss out on the signing of Ecuador international midfielder Moises Caicedo to Premier League rivals Chelsea and are looking at Tchouameni as a potential alternative.
However, Madrid “see the midfielder as a key player and would not consider his departure”, according to the report in The Athletic, which has added that the £119,000-a-week (SalarySport) France international himself does not want to leave Los Blancos for Liverpool.
We are not at all surprised to hear that Aurelien Tchouameni does not want to leave for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
And it is not a surprise either that Real Madrid do not want to sell Tchouameni this summer.
Madrid are arguably the biggest club in the world who regularly win La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
Tchouameni joined Madrid from AS Monaco in the summer of 2022, so it is very unlikely that he would give up on being a success at the Santiago Bernabeu after just one season.
The 23-year-old did not have the best of times last season, but he is very young and is still developing and progressing as a player.
There is every chance that Tchouameni could star for Madrid this season and become a key player in the team.
Tchouameni started for Madrid against Athletic Bilbao in their opening La Liga match of the season this past weekend.
Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti clearly rates the Frenchman.
