The Miami Heat have been active in the free agent market in the offseason, seeking to bolster their team from the 2022–2023 campaign that advanced to the NBA Finals.
Miami’s actions have not, however, been without consequences. Guard Gabe Vincent was reportedly traded by the team to the Los Angeles Lakers. Vincent agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers. Vincent started 34 games for Miami in the 2022–2023 season.
The Los Angeles Lakers and free agent guard Gabe Vincent have reached an agreement on a three-year, $33 million contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Bill Neff, Vincent’s agent, arranged the new agreement for this amazing undrafted success story.
Max Strus, a talented shooter, looks like he could be leaving the Heat this offseason. It seems that Strus will be joining the Cleveland Cavaliers in the event that a sign-and-trade agreement can be reached. Although reports of Strus signing a four-year, $64 million contract that would be used in the sign-and-trade with Cleveland have surfaced, nothing is official as of yet.
I’ve been informed that San Antonio is a team to keep an eye on in the evolving three-team sign-and-trade negotiations that may result in Max Strus joining Cleveland. According to sources, the Cavaliers have been attempting to find a trade for Cedi Osman this week.

Max Strus and the Cavaliers have completed this portion of the agreement and have been for more than an hour. An agreement to trade is being worked on.
