news update: Arsenal Agree £50m wolvse transfer bid for Bukayo Saka with alternative injury terms….

Arsenal are said to be interested in signing Wolves winger Pedro Neto, who could be the perfect alternative to allow Bukayo Saka some rest

Arsenal are still tracking Wolves winger Pedro Neto, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. Neto was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium back in the summer of 2020, although a move failed to materialise.

But that hasn’t stopped speculation since then, with the Gunners continuing to be mooted as a potential destination for the talented attacker. Now, Romano has revealed more details about the north Londoners’ interest in the Portugal international, admitting that Mikel Arteta’s side will likely face stiff competition in the race to sign the 23-year-old.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: “Things are going to happen in 2024 with Pedro Neto. Wolves were able to say no to proposals in the summer, but between January and summer, let’s see what happens.

“We will see what happens. In 2024 clubs will arrive. Arsenal wanted Neto a year and a half ago, and they keep tracking the player, they are keeping an eye on Neto, but there are other clubs following the situation.

“There is interest, things can happen, clubs know he is very good and probably underrated. Keep an eye on Neto because at the moment nothing is concrete, but Arsenal interest is there and other clubs are following this fantastic Portuguese winger.

Neto has enjoyed a hugely impressive start to the 2023/24 campaign, scoring one goal and registering a further four assists in just seven Premier League outings. Signing the Wolves attacker would certainly give Arsenal flexibility on both wings, allowing both Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka additional rest.
