With Chadi Riad and Nico Gonzalez on their way out, Barcelona could soon be saying goodbye to yet another talented starlet in Estanis Pedrola.
The 19-year-old winger, who made his first-team debut for Barcelona last year, is held in high regard at the club and enjoyed a productive 2022/23 campaign with Barça Atletic.
Estanis even trained with the first team under Xavi’s command on several occasions, although he did not receive any minutes.
The youngster was not included in the squad for the pre-season tour of the USA as Xavi wanted him to go out on loan and gain experience.
But, according to Santi Ovalle, Barcelona’s preferred option as far as Estanis’ future is concerned, is a direct sale with a buyback option.
However, the possibility of the talented winger leaving on loan for the upcoming season is not entirely off the table either.
And there appears to be no shortage of suitors for the Spanish starlet as clubs from Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, and Belgium are interested in signing him.
In fact, reports earlier this week suggested that Estanis has offers from as many as ten First Division clubs in Spain.
The youngster’s current contract with Barcelona expires in 2024 and as such, if he is to leave on a pure loan deal, the club would likely renew his contract before shipping him off.
In case of a permanent exit, the Blaugrana will hope to receive some fee for Estanis while also inserting a repurchase clause so as to have some degree of control over his future.
The report from Santi Ovalle claims that the process of Estanis’ exit from Barcelona will pick up pace in the coming week and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the winger.
