NEWS UPDATE: Charlotte Jones finally declares ‘Dolly Parton for president’ after performance, $1 million donation

Dolly Parton has won over Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his daughter Charlotte Jones after her electric performance during halftime of Thursday’s game against the Commanders.

Jones and Charlotte, Dallas’ executive vice president and chief brand officer, praised the 77-year-old country legend after she rocked the stage at AT&T Stadium while dressed in a bedazzled Dallas Cowboys cheerleading uniform.

“@dollyparton for PRESIDENT!!!” Charlotte wrote on her Instagram Story, including a photo of Parton on stage.

“I don’t know that I’ve had a day like this and I’ll include them all, I’ll put Super Bowls in there, I don’t know if I’ve ever had a better day with the Cowboys than today,” Jones said after the game, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.

Parton’s performance was part of the launch of the Red Kettle Campaign, which is a longtime partnership between the Cowboys and The Salvation Army that strives to raise both awareness and funds for those that need it most in communities across the United States.
