Shaquille O’Neal, the legendary player for the Los Angeles Lakers, seems to be having legal issues. Donnie Wilson, an associate, is allegedly suing the Basketball Hall of Famer and his production company, Jersey Legends Productions (via Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post)
“Donnie Wilson filed a complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court accusing O’Neal, his co-founder Michael Parris of Jersey Legends Productions, and the company itself of breaching a verbal agreement that was allegedly violated and “legally binding,” as well as of “many” labor code violations.
The former Lakers center’s participation in a class-action lawsuit against the FTX was also mentioned in a statement released by the complainant’s attorney.
Shaquille O’Neal can appear to be everyone’s best friend and a really happy guy—that is, until he owes you money, according to Ron Zambrano of West Coast Employment Lawyers.
He eluded lawyers for months when they attempted to serve him in a class-action lawsuit regarding his support of the now-defunct FTX cryptocurrency exchange and his concealment of his financial responsibilities. Now, he is essentially doing the same thing with Mr. Wilson. It’s simply despicable behavior for a celebrity of his caliber.
