That was according to TEAMtalk, who reported that Leeds were ready to offload the youngster in order to find more game time.

In the end, Perkins ended up joining Liam Manning’s Oxford United on loan, but things have not quite gone to plan since.

The appointment we’re looking at today is the latter one, and Leeds United will undoubtedly be hoping that Manning’s move from Oxford United to the Robins would benefit their loanee, Sonny Perkins.

It doesn’t seem like that long ago that several Champions were interested in signing Perkins to a summer loan from Leeds.

For the 2023–24 campaign, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, and Birmingham City were reportedly eager to sign the 19-year-old back in June.
