Leicester City could be set to lose two key players ahead of their home clash with Hull City this weekend with speculation growing about the future of Wilfred Ndidi and Timothy Castange.
Nigerian midfielder Ndidi is believed to be in talks with East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest while defender Castagne is mulling over a switch to Fulham, managed by ex-City boss Marco Silva.
talkSPORT claim 26-year-old Ndidi is pushing for a move to the City Ground while Belgian Castagne is primed to make a £15m move to Craven Cottage.
While Ndidi has been a regular under new boss Enzo Maresca, full-back Castagne has only made the bench in three of Leicester’s five games so far, including Saturday’s narrow 2-1 victory at Rotherham United
A third exit from the King Power Stadium could also be on the cards, with defender Victor Kristiansen expected to join Italian side Bologna just six months after arriving at the club.
That victory at the New York Stadium saw the Foxes maintain their unbeaten run since relegation from the Premier League, with the Foxes set to provide the Tigers with their toughest test of the fledgling season so far.
One player who has signed for Leicester is Yunus Akgun, with the Turkish winger’s initial loan arrival from Galatasaray confirmed on Saturday evening, and he could make his home debut against City this weekend.
Speaking after Saturday’s victory in South Yorkshire, Leicester’s head coach, said being top of the league with a one hundred per cent record at this stage means little.
“To be honest, there are 42 games left,” the Italian said. “We are going to lose games. We need to be mentally strong. For sure we are going to lose games. In this moment, I don’t care (about being top). The season is so long.
