NEWS UPDATE: Rangers Manager Philippe Clement keeps everyone on their toes………

Barry Ferguson, a Rangers great, has emphasized that he appreciates Philippe Clement’s policy of not guaranteeing a starting spot for a player until after they do well in practice and competition.

Following his appointment as Rangers manager last month, Clement has won four of his first five games in command of the team.

Both their performances and results in the league have improved, and they have advanced to the Scottish League Cup final.

Ferguson does not anticipate a different performance from the team against Sparta Prague tonight since their belief in winning matches is what drives their commitment and energy in the game.

The Rangers icon praised Clement’s influence on the players, saying that everyone is on edge because they have to perform well in practice to earn a spot on the team.

The former Rangers captain said on the Go Radio Football Show: “They are going to play the same way.

“The biggest thing for me is the energy and commitment and you only get that winning games of the football.

“You can see the confidence starting to build but it’s still early, he knows that. He is not getting carried away and that’s what I like about him.

“He keeps everybody on their toes, even if you are the main player or the expensive player or the best player at the club, you are not guaranteed to play unless you produce the goods in training and certainly on matchdays.”

Rangers are keen to get a win at home tonight and keep their chances of making it to the knockout rounds of theg Europa League oing.
