Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have made their Championship debuts for Leicester City despite speculation surrounding their futures at the King Power Stadium.
The Super Eagles duo have been linked with Nottingham Forest, Turkish clubs as well as unnamed teams in the Saudi Pro League.
Ndidi started and was in action for 62 minutes while Iheanacho hopped off the bench in the 75th minute as the Foxes came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Coventry City on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Kyle McFadzean broke the deadlock in the 47th minute when he got on the end of an in-swinging corner at the near post and headed the ball into the net.
With fifteen minutes left on the clock, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall headed into the bottom corner and restored parity for the home team in the process, and he came close to getting his second of the game in the 78th minute but curled his effort over the bar.
Dewsbury-Hall got the second goal he deserved when he rifled home an unstoppable shot in the 87th minute.
Despite the late surge from the visitors in search of an equalizer, Leicester City were able to hold onto an opening day win.
Up next, Leicester City face Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup and will return to Championship action next weekend with a trip to Huddersfield Town.
