The Miami Heat have seized the chance to work with former students. Alonzo Mourning, Eddie Jones, and Dwyane Wade all returned to the Heat after leaving—either through trades or free agency. PJ Tucker, a former member of the Heat, made a hint that he might be returning.
When Tucker uploaded a photo of himself on his Instagram story, driving down a Miami highway, he gave away that he might make a comeback. Tucker captioned that story with the words, “Home sweet home.” The Heat X account Heat Nation compiled Tucker’s story.
Tucker won a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021 before moving to the Heat. Tucker spent one season in the 2021–2022 NBA with the Heat. After assisting the Heat to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2022, Tucker signed a more lucrative contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Tucker is a player for the Los Angeles Clippers at the moment, but he hasn’t appeared on the court with them since November 27. Tucker has not been included in the Clippers rotation, making him a prime candidate for a buyout. Tucker is owed $11.5 million for the 2024–25 season and $11 million for the 2023–24 season, regardless of the team he plays for.
